Viewing Data Objects

Viewing Data Objects

You can view properties for each data object in a project or folder. You can open the data object to preview data in a tab. You can preview the contents of data objects and object types to view the structure of data and analyze data quality results.
  1. Open the
    Library
    workspace, and look up the data object from the
    Projects
    or
    Assets
    section.
    The Analyst tool displays the data objects in the asset list.
  2. Select a data object.
    The Analyst tool displays the properties for the flat file data object or table data object.
    The Analyst tool displays the file path of system parameters in the following format:
    $$[Parameter Name]/[Path]
    . For example, "
    $$SourceDir/ff_dept.txt.
    "
  3. Click the
    Data Preview
    tab.
    The Analyst tool displays the data preview for the flat file data object or table data object on the
    Data Preview
    panel.
