Purge and Reload Resources

Purge and Reload Resources

Some models are changed between Metadata Manager versions. If a model has minor changes, such as new class attributes, you must purge and reload the resources that are based on the model.
Effective in version 10.1.1, Tableau, PowerCenter, and most database management models have minor changes. Therefore, you must purge and reload the resources that are based on these models after you upgrade.
The following table lists the resources that you must purge and reload:
Metadata Source Type
Resource Type
Business Intelligence
Tableau
Data Integration
PowerCenter
Database Management
Cloudera Navigator
IBM DB2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows
IBM DB2 for z/OS
IBM Informix
JDBC
Microsoft SQL Server
Oracle
Sybase ASE
Teradata
To prevent the loss of connection information for business intelligence and database management resources, purge and reload resources in the following order:
  1. Database management resources
  2. Tableau resources
  3. PowerCenter resources
