string-length

Returns the number of characters in a string, including trailing blanks.

Syntax

string-length (
string
)

String datatype. The string you want to evaluate.

Return Value

Integer.
NULL if a value passed to the function is NULL.

Example

The following expression returns the length of the customer name:
string-length ( CUSTOMER_NAME )
