Configure Fixed Partitioning

Configure Fixed Partitioning

To configure fixed partitioning for a read or write operation, you must select define at least one column as the partition key.
  1. Select the columns in the table that you want to define as partition keys. Perform the following tasks:
    1. Select the
      Overview
      tab for the read or write operation.
    2. Under
      Object Details
      , select the
      Columns
      tab.
    3. Select the name of the column that you want to assign as the partition key.
      In the Partition Key tab, select the name of the column.
  2. Open the JDBC V2 data object read or write operation for which you want to configure fixed partitioning.
  3. On the
    Run-time
    tab in Data Object Operation Details, select
    Fixed
    as the
    Partition Type
    .
    In the example configuration, you can view the partition type set to fixed with four partitions.
  4. Specify the number of partitions that the Data Integration Service must create at runtime.
