Step 2. Create and Configure the Lookup Transformation

To look up XLATTABLE data, create a Lookup transformation in the mapping.
In the Lookup transformation, configure the following properties:
  • Lookup condition.
    Allows the PowerCenter Integration Service to compare the input column containing codes with the XLATTABLE FIELDVALUE column.
  • Lookup SQL override.
    Ensures the PowerCenter Integration Service extracts only XLATTABLE data that relates to input data.
  • Lookup cache.
    Allows the PowerCenter Integration Service to perform a lookup SQL override.
