IAUPABND Option in the EDMSDIR Module

IAUPABND Option in the EDMSDIR Module

You can specify the new IAUPABND option in the EDMSDIR options module for the PowerExchange Agent:
IAUPABND={
Y
|N}
Controls the behavior of online update transactions in an IMS control region when the CCERR=ABEND option is specified and the PowerExchange Logger for z/OS ends abnormally after the IMS control region is running.
This option affects only transactions that update the IMS database. This option does not affect transactions that access the database in read-only mode.
This option is ignored when CCERR=CONT is specified.
Valid values are:
  • Y
    . All update transactions abend, including those that update segments that are not registered for change data capture.
  • N
    . Only the transactions that update registered segments abend.
Default is Y.
For more information, see the "PowerExchange Agent" chapter in the
PowerExchange CDC Guide for z/OS
