PWXUSSL Utility New Commands

PWXUSSL Utility New Commands

The PWXUSSL utility has been enhanced to include a PING command and other new commands for generating additional types of reports.
The following new commands are supported:
  • CONVERT_CERT_PKCS12_PEM. Converts a PKCS12DER format certificate file to the PEM format for use on a Linux, Unix, or Windows machine.
  • PING. Verifies the following items:
    • A PowerExchange user has the authority to view security certificates for a PowerExchange Listener on Linux, Unix, or Windows.
    • The certificates are current and valid.
    • The TCP/IP packets can be sent to the PowerExchange Listener.
  • REPORT_CODES. Generates a report that lists return codes from an attempt to establish a secure connection between a PowerExchange Listener and client.
  • REPORT_CONFIG. Generates a report that describes the PowerExchange Listener and client SSL configuration. You can use this report to troubleshoot any issues associated with the PowerExchange DBMOVER configuration files.
  • REPORT_ERROR_CODES. Generates a report that lists error codes returned from OpenSSL processing during an attempt to establish a secure connection between a PowerExchange Listener and client. You can use the report to diagnose errors.
For more information, see the "PWXUSSL - PowerExchange SSL Reporting Utility" chapter in the
PowerExchange Utilities Guide
