Step 4. Set Up Path Environment Variables

Step 4. Set Up Path Environment Variables

To successfully load PowerExchange executable files and shared libraries at run time, edit the path and library path environment variables on the Linux or UNIX system to point to the directory where the PowerExchanges files and libraries are installed.
Also, set the PWX_HOME environment variable so that PowerExchange can locate various run-time components.
The following table lists the Linux and UNIX environment variables that specify the PowerExchange installation directory, by platform type:
Variable
Platform
PWX_HOME=<powerexchange_install_path>
All
PATH=<powerexchange_install_path>
All
LIBPATH=<powerexchange_install_path>
AIX
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=<powerexchange_install_path>
Linux and Solaris
For example:
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/powerexchange/prod
To verify that the environment variables are correctly set, log off and log in again.
