Configuring ODBC on Windows

Configuring ODBC on Windows

On Windows, configuring an ODBC data set name (DSN) is optional if you enter the host name and port in the
Database Server
field when defining the registration group for the SAP HANA source.
To configure an ODBC connection to SAP HANA, use the Windows ODBC Data Source Administrator.
  1. Open the Windows ODBC Data Source Administrator and click the
    System DSN
    tab.
  2. Click
    Add
    .
  3. In the
    Create New Data Source
    dialog box, select the SAP HANA driver and click
    Finish
    .
  4. In the
    ODBC Configuration for SAP HANA
    dialog box, enter a user-defined data source name, the server host name or IP address, the port number, and other configuration details as needed:
  5. Test the connection.
  6. Click
    OK
    to save the configuration.
