Batch VSAM CDC of IDCAMS Changes to Compressed Records

If you use the IBM IDCAMS utility to modify data in SMS-managed compressed record images, batch VSAM CDC can capture the modified data records. If you use the SMS data class COMPACTION=Y parameter to compress data in both the source and target data sets, the IDCAMS utility will not uncompress the data. Consequently, the batch VSAM ECCR can capture the compressed source data.
