View File System in Hadoop connection

View File System in Hadoop connection

Effective in version 10.5.4, you can use the View File System (ViewFS) for Informatica PowerExchange for HDFS. ViewFS is a configuration on the cluster end and you can use it to read and write data with an HDFS connection.
Use the PowerExchange for HDFS adapter to read or write files from a cluster configured with ViewFS. With ViewFS, the PowerExchange for HDFS adapter can read or write data from multiple name nodes within the ViewFS configured cluster with the mount configuration. For instance, the PowerExchange for HDFS adapter can read and write data to a single cluster with multiple name nodes. For more information, see the
Informatica® PowerExchange for HDFS 10.5.4 User Guide
.
Previously, the PowerExchange for HDFS adapter could read and write data to HDFS with a single name node in a cluster.
