Overview

When you change database user or schema passwords, you have to update the passwords for the source or target connection in the ILM repository. You can use an SQL script to update passwords in the ILM repository without logging in to the ILM application. Use the script to change the password for the Admin, Apps, and Staging database schemas and for the Data Vault Service target. The script is available as a batch file or a shell file and is located in the optional directory of the ILM installation.

The script provides a more efficient option to update the ILM repository when company policy requires you to update database user passwords on a regular basis. For example, you must change database user passwords every 20 days.
