Defining the Data Vault

Define the Data Vault in the Management Console.

In the Management Console, click

Tree

Add Database

The

Add Database

window appears.

Select the FAS database type.

Define the following properties for the Data Vault:

DDM Database Name: Name for the database that appears in the Management Console tree.
Server Address: Server host name or TCP/IP address for the Data Vault.
Verify that there is no firewall that prohibits the Dynamic Data Masking Server from connecting to the database server and port number.
Server Port: TCP/IP listener port for the Data Vault.
FAS Database Name: Database name for the Data Vault.
DBA Username: User name for the database user account to log in to the Data Vault.
DBA Password: Password for database user.
