Creating a Numeric Sequence Generation Rule

Create a numeric sequence generation rule to generate customer identification numbers in the CUSTOMERS table.

New

Generation Rule

The

Rule Wizard

appears.

Enter a name and optional description for the rule.

Select the

Numeric

data type.

Click the

Standard Rule

option and select

Sequence

To override generation parameters for a rule, select the

Override Allowed

option.

Click

Enter the following parameters:

Click

Finish

The rule appears in the list of generation rules.
