Steps to Evaluate Expressions

To evaluate an expression while the Debugger pauses, complete the following steps:

To evaluate an expression while the Debugger pauses:

Select the transformation for which you want to evaluate an expression.

Click Mappings > Debugger > Evaluate Expression.

Enter an expression in the Expression Editor that references ports in the selected transformation.

To validate the expression, click Validate.

To evaluate the expression, click Evaluate.

If the expression is valid, the Integration Service evaluates it. The Integration Service returns the result of the expression in a message box.
