Creating a virtual network rule

To allow the virtual network to access Microsoft Azure Synapse SQL, create a virtual network rule.

Perform the following steps to create a virtual network rule:

Go to your Microsoft Azure Synapse SQL account.

In the Security
section, click Firewalls and virtual networks
.

Under Virtual networks, click Add existing virtual network
.

In the Name
field, enter a name for the virtual network rule.

In the Subscription
filed, select the subscription for the virtual network rule.

In the Virtual network
field, select the virtual network that you created, to allow access to Microsoft Azure Synapse SQL.

In the Subnet name
field, select the subnet.

Click OK
.

Go to the virtual machine that you created in the subnet, and click Connect
.
