Exchange electronic health information through HL7 2.x

Industry solutions for healthcare include a set of pre-built data services to help healthcare and life science organizations exchange data through the HL7 2.x messaging standard. The pre-built data services simplify and expedite the handling of HL7 data for operational and analytical use cases through Informatica's data integration and data ingestion capabilities.
You can use the pre-built data services to process and exchange data through HL7 data standards by using the pre-built parsers and serializers for receiving and sending data. For example, you can receive data from different EMRs, healthcare providers, and other sources using the MLLP client and server connectivity. You can also process and transform patient and other data received through HL7 data services to XML format and write the data to any target application, data warehouse, or data lake.
This section addresses the following scenarios:
  • Receiving patient and health information from HL7. You can receive HL7 messages and convert the data to XML format.
  • Sending patient and health information. You can provide message data in XML format and translate it to an HL7 message.
