Configuring an External Link Component

Use an external link component to display the content of an HTML page requested from an external URL. When you configure an external link, you can use certain parameters to append to the URL.

Add an external link component to a section of a custom page.

The external link component is added.

Settings

On the

General

tab, configure the following settings for the page:

Field Name	Description
Title	Display title of the external link component.
Dimension Style	Height of the external link panel. Use one of the following options: Fit to Content. Adjusts the height automatically based on the content. Custom. Sets the height based on the value you specify.
Height	Size of the component in pixel.

On the

Component

tab, configure the following details for the page.

Field Name	Description
URL	URL of the external page that you want to display on the portal.
Business Entity Name	Indicates whether you want to use the business entity of the portal as a parameter to filter the content of the external page.
Row ID	Indicates whether you want to use the Row ID of the records as a parameter to filter the content of the external page.
