Pre-Merge-Review

Pre-Merge-Review

You can use the pre-merge-review option with the Merge clustering method. If a search returns any accepted match records, the pre-merge-review option flags all the clusters that have accepted match records but does not merge the clusters. Use Informatica Data Director to manually review the details of all the flagged clusters. You can merge some or all of the clusters or retain them in separate clusters.
For example, you have a record with John as the name in cluster 1 and another record with Samuel as the name in cluster 2. Add a record with John Samuel as the name to the source table.
During synchronization, the record of John in cluster 1 matches the record of John Samuel and the records have an accepted score between them. The Merge method adds the record of John Samuel to cluster 1. The record of John Samuel in cluster 1 matches the record of Samuel in cluster 2, and the records have an accepted score between them. The pre-merge-review option flags cluster 1 and cluster 2. Use Informatica Data Director to manually review the details of cluster 1 and cluster 2.
