Sending an Unmerge Candidate for Approval Through ActiveVOS

Instead of unmerging a merged entity immediately in

Data Director

(IDD), you can send the unmerge candidate through an approval workflow that is coordinated by the

ActiveVOS Server

In the IDD Data workspace, select

XFEF

and select the unmerge candidate as usual.

Click

Actions

and select

Create Unmerge Task

The Create Task dialog box opens with default values for all task attributes.

In the Title field, replace the default title with a meaningful title for this workflow.

For example, include the name of the person in the title, such as Unmerging M Singh
.

In the Task Type field, ensure that

Unmerge Workflow

is selected.

Change other default task attributes as required.

Click

The

ActiveVOS Server

begins executing activities. When the

ActiveVOS Server

reaches the first people activity, the

ActiveVOS Server

creates an IDD Unmerge task. Everyone with the DataSteward role receives a task notification in their IDD Task Inboxes. The task includes the Title that you specified and has a task type of Unmerge.
