Cleanse Functions

Cleanse Functions

IDD uses the
PUT
API rather than
cleansePut
.
However, IDD can call the
cleanse
API for each base object record before it is saved. This is sometimes referred to as an
inline cleanse function
. The cleanse function can perform regular data cleansing and standardization, and also custom validations on the data. Each configured cleanse function is called before data is saved.
  • In the Data View, cleanse is invoked when the
    Apply
button is clicked on an edit form.
  • In the Hierarchy View, cleanse is invoked when the
    OK
button is clicked on a relationship add/edit dialog.
