Verify Port Availability for the Administration Components

Verify Port Availability for the Administration Components

The installer sets up the ports for the administration components, and it designates the ports to use on the host where you install the them.
You can specify the port numbers to use for the administration components or you can use the default port numbers provided by the installer. Verify that the port numbers are available on the machines where you install the administration components.
The following table describes the ports used by the administration components:

Administrator Daemon
HTTP port
Port on which the
Administrator Daemon
runs an HTTP server from which the
EDS Node
fetch the configurations.
Default is 15381.
Administrator Daemon
and
Administrator tool
communication port
Port for communication between the
Administrator Daemon
and
Administrator tool
. Default is 15386.
Topic Resolution Daemon (LBMRD) port
Port for the Topic Resolution Daemon (LBMRD). Default is 15380.
Administrator tool
port
Port number used by the
Administrator tool
. Default is 6008.
Administrator tool
shutdown port
Port number that controls server shutdown for the
Administrator tool
. The
Administrator tool
listens for shutdown commands on this port.
Monitoring Traffic Port
Port that the Administrator Daemon uses to receive statistics from the EDS Node. Default is 15385.
