Installation Overview

Install the
Edge Data Streaming
 components on the same machine that hosts the Informatica service. The installation loads the EDS component libraries in the installation directory.
You can enable security for EDS if security is configured for the Informatica domain and if the domain uses secure network authentication to authenticate users. You can also configure high availability for the EDS components.
If you choose to enable security for EDS during installation, you cannot revert to a non-secure mode. You must uninstall and perform a fresh installation of EDS.
You can install EDS in graphical mode on Windows and in console mode on Linux.
