Resolving the Component Connectivity Issues

If the network interface address used for communication among the VDS components is configured incorrectly during installation, you might get a connectivity error message in the Administrator tool. On a Linux or Windows machine, perform the following steps to resolve the error:
  1. Verify that the
    networkInterface
    property is configured correctly in the following configuration files:
    • Administrator tool configuration file. Location:
      <VDS Installation Directory>/mnm/config/mnm.cnf file
    • Administrator Daemon configuration file. Location:
      <VDS Installation Directory>/admind/config/admind.cnf
    • VDS Node configuration file. Location:
      <VDS installation Directory>/node/config/node.cnf
    • Agent configuration file. Location:
      <VDS Installation Directory>/agent/config/agent.cnf
  2. Verify that the
    clientPortBindAddress
    property is configured correctly in the Apache ZooKeeper configuration file.
  3. On Windows:
    1. Uninstall the Administrator Daemon, LBMRD, and Apache ZooKeeper services, and then install them again.
    2. Open a command prompt window and navigate to the
      cli/bin
      directory.
      To uninstall the components, run the following command:
      admin_service.bat uninstall
      To install the components, run the following command:
      admin_service.bat install
      You do not have to uninstall the VDS Node and Agent services and install them again.
    3. Restart the Administrator Daemon.
    On Linux, restart the Informatica Domain, Administrator Daemon, Agent, and the VDS Node.
    On Linux, you do not have to uninstall the components and reinstall them again.
