Data Access Management Proxy service

Data Access Management Proxy service

The
Data Access Management
Proxy service enables you to query data through a policy-enforcement flow.
There are two types of JDBC drivers that relate to the
Data Access Management
Proxy:
  • The driver for your database management tool. Examples of these tools include DBeaver and SQirreL SQL client. Informatica provides this driver. Download the driver from Informatica Marketplace. Register it with your database management tool so that you can create a new database connection using the driver. Do not put this driver in the Secure Agents. Use this connection to access data in a
    Data Marketplace
    order.
  • The source drivers for the Secure Agents. Your database vendors supply these drivers. Put these source drivers in the path /ext/connectors/thirdparty/ in all the Secure Agents. For example, if you want to access PostreSQL databases, add the latest PostreSQL driver that you downloaded from a trusted source in the Secure Agent path /ext/connectors/thirdparty/.
For a list of compatible sources, see
Catalog Source Configuration
in the
Metadata Command Center
help.
To learn which drivers are compatible with your databases, see Compatible database drivers.
When you change any of the drivers, you must restart the
Data Access Management
Proxy service in order for the service to acquire the drivers.
You can optimize the performance of the
Data Access Management
Proxy service by configuring the service properties.
