DV Processor

DV Processor

DV Processor is the Secure Agent service that runs data validation test cases. DV Processor compares two data sets and generates reports to verify the accuracy and completeness of data integration operations.
DV Processor processes each test case report and provides a comprehensive summary along with detailed views, including job details, sampling data, total records, match results, row count, and column matching status. It specifies the data type, precision, and scale for each column. You can also download reports for successful jobs.
You don’t need to configure any properties for the DV Processor service as it works with default settings. The DV Processor service automatically uses the latest available TLS version for improved security. Always keep your Secure Agent updated to leverage the latest security protocols and performance improvements.
Benefits of using DV Processor
  • Ensures only accurate data proceeds to analytics, reporting, or downstream processes.
  • Detects issues early, minimizing errors.
  • Automates repetitive validation tasks, reducing manual effort and human error.
  • Provides comprehensive logs and validation evidence, assisting in regulatory compliance and audits.
In Administrator, you can configure the
purge-period
value that DV Processor must use. It defines the number of days to store the log data. By default, no purge period is set, so DV Processor keeps all the log data. To edit the purge period, enter a valid integer from 0 through 2147483647.
You can start and stop the DV Processor from the Administrator page.
