Using the Developer Tool to Configure Cluster Creation Properties

You can configure cluster creation properties in the advanced properties of the Create Cluster task.

When you use the Create Cluster task properties to specify cluster creation parameters, the task passes the parameters to the cluster creation workflow. You might choose this method of passing parameters instead of the JSON method if your requirements for ephemeral clusters seldom change.

Configure properties in the Developer tool to pass parameters to the cluster workfow:

Set the advanced properties that correspond to your cloud platform.

To create a cluster on Amazon Web Services, see Advanced Properties for Amazon EMR.

To create a cluster on Microsoft Azure HDInsight, see Advanced Properties for Azure HDInsight.
