Data Preview Interface for Hierarchical Data

Data Preview Interface for Hierarchical Data

The data preview interface consists of Data Viewer view and hierarchical type panel. Preview data in a mapping based on the preview point that you choose.
The following image shows a mapping which has complex data types:
The image shows an expanded view of the Expression transformation in a mapping. The ports visible in the Expression transformation consist of complex data types, and some ports are hierarchical with a parent-child relationship between ports. For example, the account_rep port, which is a struct data type, has two child ports, rep_name and rep_phone, each of which is a string data type.
To view the hierarchical data after expressions have been evaluated, you use the Expression transformation as a preview point.
The following image shows the results of the data preview:
  1. Hierarchy keys
  2. Schema
  3. Value
  4. Port filter
  5. Array data type
  6. Map data type
  7. Struct data type
