The
B2B Data Exchange
 web services cannot modify a dedicated system profile, account, or partner, or properties that identify these objects.
The
B2B Data Exchange
 web services have the following general characteristics and behavior:
  • The web service operations do not retrieve or modify a dedicated system profile, account, or partner.
  • The web service operations cannot modify a property that is used as an identifier. For example, you cannot use the
    B2B Data Exchange
     web services to modify a partner name or an account number.
  • The web services return fault responses in the following situations:
    • An internal error occurs when a web service is running.
    • A required parameter in the web service request is empty or set to NULL.
    • An element in the DXPartner, DXAccount, or DXProfile object has a value that is not valid or exceeds the maximum length.
