Rules and Guidelines for Icons

Use the following rules and guidelines when you create icons:

All icons that you use must measure 16 x 16 pixels. Metadata Manager does not scale icons.

You do not have to specify an icon for the model. If you do not specify an icon, Metadata Manager uses the custom model icon ( green square with two yellow child squares

) for the model and for all resources that are based on the model.

You cannot remap a group or class to a different image file or file type. For example, if the Dimension class is mapped to dimension.gif, you cannot remap it to 3D_dimension.gif or to dimension.png.

You do not have to add an image file for every group and class to the icon directory. If a group or class has no image file, Metadata Manager uses the class icon ( blue circle with white letter "C"
