Grant Users Access to Reports

Grant Users Access to Reports

To enable users to access reports from JasperReports Server, an administrator must use the Administrator tool and JasperReports Server to grant required privileges and permissions.
To allow users to access the reports in JasperReports Server, grant the Normal User privilege to the user from the Administrator tool.
From JasperReports Server, an administrator can assign permissions to ensure that users can access appropriate reports. Users with the Normal User privilege have read-only access to the reports in JasperReports Server. However, any user with Administrator privilege or Superuser privilege can edit the report and change the user permissions for various reports.
To grant users access to reports in JasperReports Server, select a folder in the Jaspersoft repository and assign appropriate permissions to various roles and users. For more information about assigning permissions, see the Jaspersoft documentation.
