PowerExchange gets the IP address of the local system to verify the PowerExchange license. PowerExchange also includes the IP address in messages written to the PowerExchange message log file, such as message PWX-00651.
Y.
PowerExchange does not get the IP address of the local system. Use this option at the direction of Informatica Global Customer Support as it also requires use of a special license key.

In some situations, resolution of the IP address can take a long time, resulting in poor performance. This situation normally occurs because there is no entry in the TCP/IP HOSTS table for the local system. Define the NOGETHOSTBYNAME statement to temporarily change PowerExchange behavior until you resolve the TCP/IP problem.
