The UNIT statement specifies the generic or esoteric unit name that PowerExchange uses when dynamically allocating target data sets on z/OS, if you do not provide UNIT information.

BS, DISP, LRECL, RECFM, RELEASE, SPACE, and VOLSER

UNIT=unit

For the unit variable, enter the generic or esoteric unit name that PowerExchange uses when dynamically allocating target data sets on z/OS, if you do not provide UNIT information. A valid value is a one- to eight-character alphanumeric string.
