COLDSTART Parameter

COLDSTART Parameter

Controls whether the Adabas ECCR cold starts or warm starts.

COLDSTART={N|Y}

N
. The ECCR warm starts. The change capture process starts from where it last left off without loss of change data.

Y
. The ECCR cold starts. The change capture process starts from the oldest log in the PCAT.

Default is N.

Regardless of how you set the COLDSTART parameter, the ECCR cold starts in the following circumstances:

You use a new PowerExchange Logger to which the Adabas ECCR has not previously connected.

You change the ECCRNAME value in the RUNLIB(ADAECRP1) member.
