DELETEMAPS Command

DELETEMAPS Command

The DELETEMAPS command removes extraction maps or data maps. This command is intended for test environments and should not be used in production environments.

Syntax

The command has the following syntax:
PWXUMAP COMMAND=DELETEMAPS TYPE=DMX|CRX OUTPUT_FILE=
log_file_name
SCHEMAMASK=myschema MAPMASK=
map_name_mask
LOCATION={
node_name
|
local
} SURE=Y
In the TYPE parameter, indicate whether to delete CRX extraction maps or DMX data maps. If you accidentally delete CRX extractions maps, you will need to re-create them in the PowerExchange Navigator and manually add back any expression field functions and generated metadata columns.

Parameters

The following parameter is specific to the command:
SURE=Y
This parameter must be specified to confirm the deletion of the map.

Example commands

Example 1. Delete the CRX extraction maps for the schema D1DSND and the Db2 for z/OS subsystem DSND.
PWXUMAP COMMAND=DELETEMAPS TYPE=CRX OUTPUT_FILE=c:\temp\MyLogFile.txt SCHEMAMASK=D1DSND MAPMASK=* LOCATION=ZOSNODE1 SURE=Y
Example 2. Delete the DMX data maps for the schema mask myschema.map*.
PWXUMAP COMMAND=DELETEMAPS TYPE=DMX OUTPUT_FILE=c:\temp\MyLogFile.txt SCHEMAMASK=myschema MAPMASK=map* LOCATION=local SURE=Y
