Data Validation Overview

Use the ssadatavalidation utility to validate data or metadata between two Data Vault servers. For example, after you migrate data from one version of the operating system to another version, you can use the utility to validate data between the two servers.

The utility verifies that the metadata and data in the source and target are the same and that there is no data loss during migration. You can use the utility to validate data between servers that are connected over a network and servers that are not connected. For example, you can migrate data between two on-premise machines that are connected over a network, or between an on-premise machine and cloud storage.
