Java Development Kit

This section describes changes related to the Java version.

Effective in version 6.5, the Data Archive installer includes Azul OpenJDK 1.8.

You can choose one of the following options:

Use the OpenJDK implementation packaged in the Data Archive installer. If you choose this option, you do not need to set JAVA_HOME.

If you want to use any other JDK, you can set JAVA_HOME to that JDK. The path should begin with

JAVA_HOME/bin

.

If JAVA_HOME is already set and added to PATH, then this JAVA_HOME will be used for installation.
