Test Tool Integration

You can integrate the HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tool with TDM. You can then copy flat file target results in TDM to a project in the integrated HP ALM server. You can copy results of subset, masking, and generation operations that have flat file targets. Use this feature to directly copy and maintain flat file results in an HP ALM server. You can then use the data to create and run test cases in HP ALM.

You can also integrate an HP ALM server that uses an HTTPS connection. TDM runs a separate job in the same workflow to copy the flat file to the HP ALM server in addition to the TDM server. You cannot export a flat file if you enable version control on the HP ALM server. You must disable version control and then run the TDM workflow.

You must run the workflow from Test Data Manager. The test tool integration job does not run when you run the workflow from the PowerCenter client.

To copy flat file results to an HP ALM server, you must configure the server information in TDM. Configure the server settings from the

Test Tool Settings

tab in the

Administrator | Preferences

view.

The following table describes the test tool integration properties:

Property	Description
Test Tool Integration	Select this option to enable test tool integration.
User Name	Required. The HP ALM server user name.
Password	Required. The password for the HP ALM server user name.
Target File Location	The default target folder location that TDM uses when you enable test tool integration. TDM sets the following target location: `${INFA_HOME}\TDM\tti` You cannot edit this location.
Host	Required. Host name of the HP ALM server.
Port	Required. Port number of the HP ALM server. For example, 8080.
Enable Transport Layer Security (TLS)	Select this option if the HP ALM server has secure access enabled.
HTTPS Port	Required if you enable TLS. Port number of the HP ALM server. For example, 8443.
Keystore File	Required if you enable TLS. You must copy the keystore file to the TDM server. Enter the complete path and the file name of the keystore file on the TDM server.
Keystore Password	Required if you enable TLS. Enter the password to the keystore file on the TDM server.
