Running tdwquery

Run tdwquery from the command line. On Windows, tdwquery is a batch file with a .bat extension. On UNIX, tdwquery is a shell script with no extension.
You must configure the tdwquery properties file before you run a query.
  1. At the command line, switch to the directory where the tdwquery executable is located.
By default, tdwquery is installed in the following directory:
    <Informatica installation directory>/TDM/utilities/tdwquery
    .
  2. To run a query:
    • On Windows, enter tdwquery followed by the clause and the required syntax.
      For example:
      tdwquery "SELECT * FROM td_empdetails"
You can also prefix the schema name to the clause. For example:
      tdwquery "SELECT * FROM AA.td_empdetails"
    • On UNIX, enter ./ tdwquery followed by the clause and the required syntax.
      For example:
      ./tdwquery "SELECT * FROM td_empdetails"
You can also prefix the schema name to the clause. For example:
      ./tdwquery "SELECT * FROM AA.td_empdetails"
