Import the Security Certificate and Keystore for the Portal Configuration Tool

Import the Security Certificate and Keystore for the Portal Configuration Tool

If you use a hosted MDM environment with Portal Configuration tool installed in multiple nodes and connected to a single database, ensure that the security certificate and keystore remain same in all the nodes. After you install the Portal Configuration tool in all the nodes, import the security certificate and keystore from the first node to all other nodes.
The following procedure explains steps to import the files for an environment with two nodes:
  1. Copy the following file:
<MDM installation directory in Node 1>/hub/server/resources/certificates/certificate_infaPortal.cert
  2. Paste the copied file in the following directory:
<MDM installation directory in Node 2>/hub/server/resources/certificates/
  3. To delete the expired or old certificates from the keystore, open a command prompt and run the following command:
keytool -delete -noprompt -alias infaportal -keystore /<MDM installation directory in Node 2>/hub/server/resources/certificates/MDM_KEYSTORE_FILE_JKS.keystore
When prompted, enter the password for the keystore.
  4. Copy the following file:
<MDM installation directory in Node 1>/hub/server/resources/certificates/MDM_KEYSTORE_FILE_JKS.keystore
  5. Paste the copied file to the following directory:
<MDM installation directory in Node 2>/hub/
  6. To import the keystore, on a command prompt, run the following command:
keytool -v -importkeystore -srckeystore <MDM installation directory in Node 2>/hub/ -srcalias infaPortal -destkeystore /<MDM installation directory in Node 2>/hub/server/resources/certificates/MDM_KEYSTORE_FILE_JKS.keystore -deststoretype JKS
When prompted, enter the password for the keystore.
