Step 2. Configure a Parameter File

Optionally, create a parameter file to install the components of
Identity Resolution
in silent mode on Windows or UNIX. The installer reads the parameter file to determine the installation options.
Consider the following guidelines when you specify parameters in a parameter file:
  • Use a space or a new line to separate the parameters.
  • Specify the parameters in any order.
  • If you use a parameter both in the parameter file and in the console, the latest occurrence of the parameter takes precedence. The installer reads the parameter file first and then the parameters specified in the console. The values of the parameters specified in the console override the values of the parameters specified in the file.
  1. Create a parameter file and name it as
    instparms.txt
    .
  2. Add the required parameters to the
    instparms.txt
    file, and save it.
