Adding a Fuzzy-match Column for Fuzzy-match Base Objects

To define a fuzzy-match column for a fuzzy-match base object:
  1. In the Schema Manager, navigate to the Match Columns tab.
  2. Acquire a write lock.
  3. To add a fuzzy-match column, click the
    Add
    button.
    The Schema Manager displays the Add Fuzzy-match Column dialog.
  4. Specify the following settings.
    Property
    Description
    Match Path Component
    Match path component for this fuzzy-match column. For a fuzzy-match column, the source table can be the parent table, a parent cross-reference table, or any child base object table.
    Field Name
    Name of the field. Select the type of data for the match column.
  5. Specify the base object columns for the fuzzy match.
    To add a column to the
    Selected Columns
    list, select a column name and click the right-arrow button.
    If you add multiple columns, the values are concatenated, with a separator space between the values.
  6. Click
    OK
    .
    The Schema Manager adds the match column to the Match Columns list.
  7. Click the
    Save
    button to save your changes.
