Advanced Search for Business Entities

Advanced Search for Business Entities

Effective in version 10.5 HotFix 3, the Data Director application includes the Advanced Query Builder. With the Advanced Query Builder, you can construct complex queries to search for business entities with additional operators specific to the data type of the field or column.
Advanced Search supports the following operators based on the column data type:
  • Logical operator AND
  • Comparison operators =, !=, <,<=,>,>=,
  • Predicate operators Exists, Not_Exists, IN, NOT_IN, and BETWEEN
By default, when you add multiple conditions to a query, the logical operator AND applies to the query and displays business entities that meet the specified conditions.
Use the comparison and predicate operators for text, numeric, date, and boolean data types to enhance your legacy search query capabilities. You can also include system-defined fields or columns when you create queries. Additionally, you can also refine your search further by images, URL, Belookup, or file attachment. Previously, you could only run the standard (basic and extended) queries.
For more details about the operators supported for each of the data types, see
