As you know, there is the possibility to validate your repository either by using the menu entry 'Repository Editor' → 'Validate' or by using the 'Validate' entry in the context menu.

This will trigger all the repository validations that are executed during the server start. Especially the validations regarding the short identifier will be triggered here.
