Creating a Chart in the Highcharts Editor

Creating a Chart in the Highcharts Editor

If the Highcharts project file is not available for a chart, create the chart in the Highcharts editor. Before you create the chart, ensure that you define the chart configuration in the C_REPOS_RPT_CONFIG repository table.
  1. In the
    Start
    page of the Highcharts editor, click the
    Settings
    icon, and then select
    New Chart
    .
    The
    Import
    page appears.
  2. Specify the URL to access the MDM Hub.
    Use the following format for the URL:
    https://<Host name>:<Port>[/<Tenant>]
  3. Enter the user credentials to access the Operational Reference Store.
  4. Enter the Operational Reference Store name of Supplier 360.
  5. Enter the report configuration ID of the chart that you plan to create.
    You can find the report configuration ID of the charts in the C_REPOS_RPT_CONFIG table.
  6. Click
    Import Configuration
    .
    The
    Import
    page displays the preview of the chart and the configuration of the chart in the JSON format.
  7. To update the chart configuration, perform one of the following tasks:
    • Select appropriate coordinates.
    • Update the JSON, and click
      Apply
      .
    The preview of the chart reflects the changes.
  8. Click the
    Next
    icon.
    The
    Select Chart
    page appears.
  9. Select the type of chart that you want to use.
  10. Click the
    Next
    icon.
    The
    Customize
    page appears.
  11. Based on your requirement, configure the chart properties.
    For information about any property, click the help icon of the property.
  12. Click the
    Next
    icon.
    The
    Export
    page appears and displays the chart code.
  13. To save the chart code as a Highcharts project, perform the following tasks:
    1. Click the
      Settings
      icon, and then select
      Save Project
      .
    2. Browse to the location where you want to save the project.
    3. Specify a name for the project, and then click
      Save
      .
  14. To export the chart code as a .txt file, perform the following tasks:
    1. Click
      Export Code
      .
    2. Browse to the location where you want to save the .txt file.
    3. Specify a name for the file, and then click
      Save
      .
