If you created an Informatica Platform resource that extracts metadata from an Informatica 10.0 or 10.1 application, you must upgrade the resource. To upgrade the resource, you either re-create the resource or configure the resource to use the 10.0 or 10.1 Command Line Utilities.
You upgrade the resource differently based on whether you upgraded the services on which the application is based:
You upgraded the Data Integration Service and Model Repository Service to version 10.1.1.
If you upgraded the services on which the application is based to version 10.1.1, you must re-create the resource after upgrade. After you create the new resource, you can purge and delete the old resource.
You did not upgrade the Data Integration Service and Model Repository Service.
If you did not upgrade the services on which the application is based, you must configure the resource to use the previous version of the Command Line Utilities. For example, if the application is deployed to a 10.1 Data Integration Service, you must configure the resource to use the 10.1 Command Line Utilities.
To configure the resource to use the 10.0 or 10.1 Command Line Utilities, perform the following steps:
Contact Informatica Global Customer Support to get the Command Line Utilities zip file for version 10.0 or 10.1.
Extract the files to a directory that the 10.1.1 Metadata Manager Service can access.
For best performance, extract the files to a directory on the machine that runs the Metadata Manager Service. If you extract the files to a different machine, the Metadata Manager Service can take several minutes to access the directory.
Edit the resource and configure the
10.0 Command Line Utilities Directory
or
10.1 Command Line Utilities Directory
property.
Set the property to the directory where you installed the Command Line Utilities, for example,
C:\Informatica\101_CLU
.
After you configure the 10.0 or 10.1 Command Line Utilities directory, you can load the resource.
