Cassandra Data Object Overview Properties

Cassandra Data Object Overview Properties

The Cassandra Overview view displays general information about the Cassandra data object and the object properties that apply to the Cassandra files you import. The Developer tool displays overview properties for Cassandra in the
Overview
view.
General Properties
You can configure the following properties for an Cassandra data object:
  • Name
. Name of the Cassandra data object.
  • Description
. Description of the Cassandra data object.
  • Native Name
. Name of the Cassandra data object.
  • Path Information
. The path of the data object in Cassandra. For example,
    /demo/test1/
While creating a Cassandra connection, it is not mandatory to provide a value for the
    Default Keyspace
attribute. If you define the keyspace value in a Cassandra connection and then create a Cassandra data object, the streaming mapping considers the keyspace value provided in the connection. However, if you provide a different
    Path Information
attribute value while creating a Cassandra data object, the path information value overrides all other values and is considered as the default keyspace value.
Column
You can configure the name, native name, data type, precision, access type, scale, and description of the columns in the Cassandra data object.
