Changing the Credentials for the Data Integration Hub Hadoop Service

Changing the Credentials for the Data Integration Hub Hadoop Service

When you install
B2B Data Exchange
, the installation assigns a user name and a user password for the user account of the
B2B Data Exchange
Hadoop Service.
Perform the following steps if you change the credentials of the
B2B Data Exchange
Hadoop Service at a later date.
  1. Stop the
    B2B Data Exchange
services and close the Operation Console. For more information, see Starting and Stopping B2B Data Exchange on UNIX
  2. Verify that the PowerCenter Integration Service is not running any
    B2B Data Exchange
    workflows.
  3. If you are changing a password, perform the following steps:
    1. Run the password encryption utility and enter the new password in the following syntax:
      <
      DX
      InstallationDir>/dx-tools/dxpasswd.sh -p <NewPassword>
The password encryption utility encrypts the password and displays an encrypted string. For example,
      -->
      ywo+o3cw8+O3iLdlhPprW2YA==
      <--
      .
    2. Copy the encrypted string without the
      --><--
      indicators to the clipboard.
  4. Open both copies of the
    dx-configuration.properties
file in a text editor from the following locations on the machine where
    B2B Data Exchange
    is installed:
    <
    DX
    InstallationDir>/
    DataExchange
    DataIntegrationHub
    /tomcat/shared/classes/
    <
    DX
    InstallationDir>/conf/
  5. If the
    B2B Data Exchange
Hadoop Service component is installed on a different machine than the machine where
    B2B Data Exchange
is installed, on the machine where the
    B2B Data Exchange
Hadoop Service is installed, open the
    dx-configuration.properties
file in a text editor from the following location:
    <
    DX
    InstallationDir>/conf/
  6. In all the copies of the
    dx-configuration.properties
    file, perform the following steps:
    1. Search for the following text :
      internal.service.username= internal.service.password=
    2. Replace the relevant value with the new value. If you are replacing a password, enter the encrypted string.
    3. Save and close the files.
The content in all copies of the
    dx-configuration.properties
    file must be identical.
  7. Start the
    B2B Data Exchange
    Operation Console.
  8. Verify that the PowerCenter Integration Service is running.
  9. In the Navigator, click
    Hub Management
    Connections
    .
    The
    Connections
    page appears.
  10. Click the
    Test Connection
icon next to the DIH__STAGING__HADOOP connection.
    B2B Data Exchange
tests the connection. The process might take a few moments.
  11. When the message "Connection successful" shows, click
    OK
    in the
    Test Connection
    dialog box.
  12. Start the
    B2B Data Exchange
Server services. For more information, see Starting and Stopping B2B Data Exchange on UNIX
