Configuring User Name and Password for the OEM Managed File Transfer

Configuring User Name and Password for the OEM Managed File Transfer

If you upgraded
B2B Data Exchange
and installed the OEM Managed File Transfer component, to ensure that access to the Managed File Transfer component is secure, change the user name and password from the default settings.
After you create a user name and password to use Managed File Transfer with
B2B Data Exchange
, edit the following
B2B Data Exchange
system properties with the Operator Console:
System Property
Edit
dx.endpoint.mft.username
Enter the user name for Managed File Transfer.
dx.endpoint.mft.password
Enter the internal password for Managed File Transfer. Use the password for edit- and view-only operations.
You must restart the
B2B Data Exchange
server to apply the change.

If you install the
B2B Data Exchange
Partners Portal component, to ensure that access between the Partners Portal and Managed File Transfer is secure, edit the following properties in the
dx-configuration.properties
file:

Edit
internal.service.username
Enter an internal username for access between the
B2B Data Exchange
Partners Portal and Managed File Transfer.
internal.service.password
Enter an encrypted password for access between the
B2B Data Exchange
Partners Portal and Managed File Transfer. Use the
dxpassword
utility to encrypt the password.
The
dx-configuration.properties
file is located in the following directories:
  • DX
    InstallationDir>\
    DataExchange
    \conf\
  • DX
    InstallationDir>\
    DataExchange
    \tomcat\shared\classes\
To encrypt a password with the
dxpassword
utility, in the directory
DX
InstallationDir>\dx-tools\
, do the following:
  • In Windows, use the following command:
    dxpasswd.bat -p toEncrypt
  • In Unix, use the following command:
    dxpasswd.sh -p toEncrypt
