Data Flow for New Rows

Data Flow for New Rows

The following table describes the data flow for new rows. For each new row in the source, this data flow creates a primary key and increments it by 1,000. It also flags the row current and inserts it into the target:
Transformation Name
Transformation Type
Description
FIL_InsertNewRecord
Filter
Uses the following filter condition to filter out any rows from EXP_DetectChanges that are not marked new (TRUE):
NewFlag
. Passes new rows to UPD_ForceInserts.
UPD_ForceInserts
Update Strategy

DD_INSERT

SEQ_GenerateKeys
Sequence Generator
Generates a value for each new row written to the target, incrementing values by 1.
Passes values to EXP_KeyProcessing_InsertNew.
EXP_KeyProcessing_InsertNew
Expression
Uses the following expression to increment generated values by 1,000:
NEXTVAL * 1,000
. Then passes incremented values to the target to populate the PM_PRIMARYKEY column.
Creates a current flag of 1 for each row to populate the PM_CURRENT_FLAG column in the target.
